Pima Cotton

The pima cotton apparels come in an awe-inspiringly wide array – starting from pima cotton nightgowns to pima cotton pajamas. While dealing with the topic of pima cotton, the history of the idea spans back to the 18th century when the framed cotton used to be cultivated on the Sea Islands of the South California region. it is believed that this framed cotton of the Sea Islands of South California is the ancestor of what is termed to be the pima cotton. Pima was actually developed by combining the varieties of framed cotton in varied permutation and combination and since when it was first developed it had always been in the continual developmental process. Finally, during 1951 a high yielding variety was developed to produce the ELS cotton that had the fibers of superior quality, high-grade silkiness, and durable. This was actually a generation immediately prior to the pima cotton.
The development of the actually pima cotton that we have today was basically started to develop in 1970s. During this period of time the researchers gave us pima cotton S-5. During the period of 1980s, we got the advanced grade of pima cotton – the pima S-6 and at the beginning of the next decade i.e. 1990s, we got further advanced grade of pima cotton – the pima S-7. All the three grades of the pima cotton have the most aesthetic features of high yielding and better spinning.

Today’s style is based on the fashion with organic cotton. Pima cotton has become the basis of the modern fashion to a great mass of population. Although many companies are coming up with the apparels and tees made of pima cotton, yet it would be wise enough to opt for the apparel manufacturers who are specialized in the field and have skillfully mastered the art of knitting and weaving garments and apparels with the pima cottons.
